Family Ranchin'

Tom and Alissa Fee are the fifth generation and current operators of Fee Ranch. Tom is the fifth consecutive Fee to pour blood, sweat, and tears into the ranch his great-great grandfather started. He has lived and worked on the ranch 24/7 except for a stint attending and obtaining his B.S. at Cal Poly SLO. Even then the ranch was his first priority.

Tom met his wife, Alissa, 31 years ago at a community bingo game with the meddling help of Alissa's grandparents. They just loved Tom. That, combined with a little prodding from Tom's father, led to a first date riding a couple of the ranch's horses through the irrigated pastures. Much to Alissa's disappointment, she had to ride the ol' kid horse because her future husband did not trust that the "city" girl knew which end of the horse to throw the hay under.

Over the years they've raised 4 children; Savanna, Bayley, Jake, and Gracie, as well as countless other creatures including beef cattle, horses, sheep, dairy cattle, pigs, chickens, and a pile of dogs. Oftentimes they are there for the animals' first breaths either keeping a watchful eye or assisting to make sure those breaths are taken.

With the help of the sixth generation, and one little bitty 7th generation rancher, our cattle are cared for with the utmost respect. Tom and Alissa are able to do so because they wear many hats and always have several irons in the fire. They are ranchers, which means they are cattlemen, dairymen, horsemen, layman vets and doctors, farmers, irrigators, stewards, mechanics, accountants, managers, salesmen, parents, cooks, carpenters, fencers, problem solvers, and much more. They enjoy cheap whiskey, good food, and great moisture years. They are your ranchers raising your beef.
